COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE MANAGER

With continued growth across San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura County, the company is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead billing operations, strengthen cash flow processes, and support overall financial performance.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
INVOICE MANAGEMENT & BILLING OVERSIGHT
• Manage full-cycle accounts receivable processes across commercial construction projects
• Oversee accurate and timely invoicing, including AIA billing and progress billings
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, lien laws, and project requirements
DOCUMENTATION & COMPLIANCE
• Maintain detailed documentation to support billing, collections, and audits
• Coordinate with project managers and operations teams to ensure billing accuracy
• Ensure adherence to GAAP accounting standards and internal controls
ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE & CUSTOMER INTERACTION
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding billing and payment inquiries
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to support timely collections
• Monitor account status and proactively address discrepancies
COLLECTIONS STRATEGY & CASH FLOW
• Develop and execute effective collection strategies to reduce aging receivables
• Track and report on aging, cash flow, and payment trends
• Collaborate with leadership to improve overall receivables performance
WHAT YOU BRING
• 5+ years of accounts receivable experience within the construction industry
• Strong experience with AIA invoicing and commercial construction billing processes
• Solid understanding of GAAP accounting and accounts receivable principles
• Experience managing billing documentation and compliance requirements
• Proven ability to handle collections and improve cash flow
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and internal teams
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
