Dental Hygienist – Contract / Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

Location: 445 East Dublin Granville Rd, Building G, Worthington, OH 43085

Schedule

Now through May 25th:

• 24 hours per week
• Three 8-hour shifts: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Beginning May 25th:

• 32 hours per week
• Four 8-hour shifts: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join a dedicated dental team serving a primarily IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) patient population. All appointments are assisted hygiene, supported by a dental assistant throughout the visit.

This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care while also contributing to office, sterilization, and community dental health education activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality dental hygiene care under the supervision of a dentist, following established procedures.
• Complete an average of seven patient appointments per day.
• Assist with patient care, sterilization, office tasks, and laboratory duties.
• Participate in clinic and community oral health education initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with dental assistants during all patient visits.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of recent Dental Hygienist experience
• Active Dental Hygienist license in Ohio
• Active BLS certification
• Current X-ray/Radiation Safety certification
• Comfort and experience working with IDD patients

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years of recent Dental Hygienist experience
• Certification to administer local anesthesia
• Prior professional experience working with IDD patients
