This role leads framing crews on active commercial construction projects, combining hands-on carpentry with day-to-day field supervision. The Carpenter Foreman plans and directs framing activities, ensures work meets quality and safety standards, and keeps projects on schedule by coordinating labor, materials, and tools. This position suits an experienced commercial carpenter who enjoys leading teams, solving field problems, and working independently in a fast-paced jobsite environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead and supervise framing crews on commercial construction projects, assigning tasks and monitoring productivity and workmanship.
• Perform and oversee metal stud framing, rough framing, and related carpentry tasks while maintaining high quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings to plan and direct crew activities accurately.
• Plan daily work activities and coordinate labor, materials, and tools to ensure efficient jobsite operations.
• Ensure all work complies with safety policies, site requirements, and project specifications.
• Troubleshoot field issues as they arise and make independent decisions to keep projects progressing on schedule.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively for framing and carpentry tasks.
• Communicate clearly and consistently with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to align work and resolve issues.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality, and provide guidance or corrections to crew members as needed.
• Maintain an organized work area and promote a culture of safety and accountability on site.

*REQUIREMENTS*

• At least 5 years of experience in metal stud framing and commercial carpentry.
• Prior experience as a foreman or lead on construction crews (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of drywall installation and framing systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, and layout schematics.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Hanover, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
