Pay Rate: $34/hour

Job Type: Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Meeting & Event Planner to support the coordination and execution of corporate meetings, conferences, and special events. This contract role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing logistics from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute in-person and virtual meetings and events
  • Manage event timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships
  • Coordinate venue selection, catering, audiovisual needs, and transportation
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align events with business objectives
  • Handle event registration, communications, and attendee management
  • Oversee on-site event execution and troubleshoot any issues as they arise
  • Track expenses and reconcile event budgets
  • Evaluate event success and provide post-event reporting

Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of experience in event planning, meeting coordination, or related field
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management tools
  • Experience working with vendors and negotiating contracts
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

Preferred Skills

  • Experience planning corporate or nonprofit events
  • Familiarity with virtual event platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset

Work Environment

  • Hybrid or on-site presence may be required depending on event schedule
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours based on event needs
