RESRG Automotive is seeking you to join our team as a PAYROLL MANAGER in our Troy Michigan facility!

Your Job

Manage the entire payroll function of an organization, ensuring employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of payroll systems, and the ability to lead a team while maintaining confidentiality and precision.

What You Will Do in Your Role

  • Manage end‑to‑end payroll processing for all employees, including salary, hourly, commission, and bonus payments.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain payroll systems and coordinate with Site HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data.
  • Review and approve payroll reports, reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • Oversee payroll tax filings, W‑2s, and year‑end reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal capabilities (Tax, Treasury, HR, FP&A)
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries with professionalism.
  • Implement process improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Work with auditors during internal and external payroll audits.
  • Supervise and train payroll staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
  • Manage vendor relationships for payroll software, timekeeping systems
  • Maintain Interfaces with Benefit Providers

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 7+ years of payroll experience; 1–3 years in a supervisory role
  • Knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency with payroll systems (e.g. Dayforce , ADP, Workday, Paycom, UKG).
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and problem‑solving skills

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, HR, or related field (preferred).
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus.
  • Dayforce experience a plus
