Job Description

Project and Accounting Assistant

  • On-site (8AM-4:30PM)

What you should know: Mulberry has partnered with a historical preservation organization that is growing! This is a new position to the organization and will support their Operations team and Accounting Manager. You will report to the Office/Operations Manager. The ideal candidate is able to manage and communicate with multiple sources, has a strong attention to detail, is persistent, kind, and customer-service oriented.

A day in the life:

  • Responsible for various duties under the supervision of the Operations Manager including project setups, invoice reviews, project filing, client and vendor outreach, hiring/onboarding, etc.
  • Responsible for various duties under the supervision of the Accounting Manager including timesheet review and payroll processing, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, data entry, file maintenance, client and vendor correspondence, etc.
  • Responsible for various duties under the Scheduling Manager including developing and implementing project logistics: coordinates with field staff on necessary equipment, arranges accommodation and rentals, coordinates per diem handoffs and adjustments.
  • Maintains detailed project logs, records, and reports to document project progress and ensure compliance with project plans, permits, and schedules, reviews vehicle logs, submits utility locates, etc.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise:

  • BA/BS with emphasis in Accounting or Finance highly desired
  • 2+ years of project coordination and support experience
  • 1+ year of AP and AR experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks from multiple sources; set correct priorities; meet deadlines
  • Extreme attention to detail; strong editing and proofing skills
  • Intermediate Excel experience

Compensation and Benefits : $27-$32/HR plus benefits including 100% employer paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid parental leave, holiday pay, PTO, 401k, and more! A background check and drug screen including THC required upon accepted offer of employment.
